movie review: Bigger, Stronger, Faster
I just saw the film; Bigger Stronger, Faster. No, it isn't about DaftPunk or Kanye West. It is about steroids and America.
The filmmaker/narrator is probably close to my age because a lot of the imagery and messages reflected upon come straight from my 1980's childhood. With my current preoccupation with weight-training, a lot of that rang true to me as well.
The film takes a look at USA's obsession with being bigger, faster, and stronger by any means through the lens of a steroid using family.
It clearly points out the double standards of performance enhancing drugs used for various activities. It also clearly points out the problematic culture's competitive nature.
