The Institute for Anarchist Studies is a nonprofit that helps fund research into current anarchist theory and practice, as well as history, art, and other valuable parts of the anarchist movement/culture/history.
The IAS offers various forums and spaces of community thought on how to make democracy happen in our world and in these times. From articles on anarchist organizing in the Philippines to analyses of how to resolve affinity group disagreements, the IAS funds and creates places where these issues can be raised, moving beyond academic exercises, within a context of real organizing and change.
