The day after the presidential elections, many newspaper boxes across the country had their covers changed and contents augmented with anarchist news and opinion, a small payback for the election media blitz and near media blackout that followed militant conflict at the conventions. In addition to confronting the media itself, and providing counter-information to the public, it used networking began at the conventions.

My critique of some anarchists' tactics was previously called into question and I would point to these simple acts of subversion described above as something completely different. The intended and perceived 'victim' was corporate media and it was done in an exciting and fun manner that speaks to as well as raises morale of people.
