England Blew It
(I know I am late posting about this...)
On Wednesday, The England National team lost 2-3 to Croatia ending their bid for Europe 2008. Pitiful!
The responsibility falls heavy on coach McClaren who was promptly fired the following morning. I would even say that a fair amount of blame should be placed on the world class players who seem more interested in club football than their national team.
England is now knocked down to 12th in the FIFA International Ranking. That removes England from World Cup top seeding.
Since everything football relates somehow to David Beckham, how does this? It actually makes me feel sorry for Becks! He came on as a sub for his 99th cap and executed a great play. Now, although he says he is not retiring, chances are good that he will never see his 100th cap for England.
any thoughts?
does anyone care?
