morning radio
In the post-Howard Stern void on SF radio station Live105, the station opted to not go with the douchebag West Coast "replacement" Adam Corrolla.
I do not believe that the average Live105 audience ever embraced Stern.
The new Morning Music Co-op had the potential to be a music based Bay Area flavored radio program.
Today, I caught a brief segment of the show featuring comic, Doug Stanhope.
Apparently, Stanhope worked with Girls Gone Wild and was telling the show how much it sucked. He referred to the guy behind the Girls Gone Wild series as a scumbag rapist. He had no respect for the series and did not want to be recognized as "the guy who raped my daughter". He said he only considered himself the guy who was paid to make the rape funny.
Upon his saying that, the radio show paused. The female co-host asked if rape was ever funny. Her male co-hosts joined in and they all denounced rape as never being funny.
The subject then turned to Stanhope's stint on The Man Show. He said that show stole his soul.
Then the overly excited male co-host began discussing Stanhope's stand-up act in which he claims to only support some of the troops in the US military.
Stanhope went into great detail explaining how he hopes the "alpha males" that go into the military to kill people are the first to die.
I was left with a feeling that for morning radio programs, this was a turn in a somewhat positive direction.

You have to wonder if he thought of the Girls Gone Wild segments as making rape 'funny' while he was working for the company or if he came to that conclusion later.
I would think that if he viewed it as such during his employment he would've quit pretty quickly. But maybe my view of humanity is to optimistic- Maybe he put up with it because he was getting paid.
danville is swallowing my soul.
